The Road Is No Place For A Lady

Opened in 1947, and owned by the Los Angeles City Recreation and Park Department, the Travel Town Museum has a unique display of vehicles representing many modes and eras of conveyances, and is visited each week by hundreds of youngsters and adults who are interested in the development of transportation.

The cover of Mama Cass’ solo album “The Road Is No Place For A Lady” which was released in 1972 was photographed here.
