Originally built in 1918, this 10-bedroom villa has a long history including being the one-time home of Errol Flynn and having such notable musicians as Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger and David Bowie as guests.
More recently Rick Rubin purchased the home and recorded a number of albums in a studio built into one of the mansion’s many rooms including: The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Stadium Arcadium”, Marilyn Manson’s “Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death)”, Slipknot’s “Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)”, Linkin Park’s “Minutes to Midnight”, Maroon 5’s “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long” and Audioslave’s “Out of Exile”.
Other groups that recorded here include Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Jakob Dylan, Dixie Chicks, Slayer and Jay-Z.
