Former Location –
From 1967 to September 1971 this funky location hosted many rock legends including The Velvet Underground, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, The Doors, Sly and the Family Stone and The Chambers Brothers.
When a small bomb exploded on the dance floor on March 22, 1970, injuring fifteen people, the negative publicity decimated the club’s reputation and it closed a year and a half later.
