Album 1700 by Peter, Paul and Mary

The 30’s era gangster pic used on the front of Peter, Paul and Mary’s seventh album, “Album 1700” was shot at 70 Bedford Street between Commerce Street and Morton Street. The album was released on August 4, 1967 by Warner Brothers and includes their biggest hit “Leaving on a Jet Plane” which was written by John Denver.

Album 1700 got its name because its original album issue was Warner Brothers Records catalog# W-1700.
