As one of the most photographed churches in the U.S., the First Church of Christ was used as a backdrop on Elvis’ ninth studio album,”How Great Thou Art“. The album was recorded at RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee and released by RCA Victor on February 27, 1967.
The album peaked at No. 18 on the charts and was certified Gold on February 16, 1968, Platinum and 2x Platinum on March 27, 1992 and 3x Platinum on October 13, 2010.
