This was Still’s most ambitious album. Probably my favourite (excuse the English spelling – I’m English!) album ever judging by the fact that it’s a double album that, even at that length, always makes me return to the beginning to play all over again. I’ve stood on this station platform at Manassas and snapped pictures for the US edition of my Rock Atlas book which you can find out more about by visiting the Rock Atlas Facebook page. Plug over… but this really is a fine album of all that’s best in American roots music and rock. And it was rehearsed with an all star band in Surrey, England! – –
