Billy Bragg and Wilco’s “Mermaid Avenue” album cover was shot at Mermaid Avenue on Coney Island. The album was released on June 23, 1998 on Elektra and consists of previously unheard lyrics originally written by Woody Guthrie and put to music and performed by Billy Bragg and Wilco.
