Hejira” was the eighth studio album by Joni Mitchell released in November of 1976 by Asylum. The album was the follow up to her hit “The Hissing of Summer Lawns“. The cover of the album was photographed by Norman Seeff on Lake Mendota in Madison, Wisconsin soon after an ice storm.
