Some of the “Frampton Comes Alive
” album was recorded at the Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium in 1975. The album’s cover photo was shot here as well. Other locations were Winterland, the Long Island Arena and the campus of SUNY Plattsburgh in New York.
Frampton Comes Alive was released in the U.S. on January 6, 1976 on A&M Records. The album reached number one on the Billboard 200 the week ending April 10, 1976, and was in the top spot for a total of 10 weeks.
