The cover of Moby Grape’s 1967 self-titled first album “Moby Grape” was shot in front of Junktiques, an antique store on the main drag in Fairfax, California by Jim Marshall. The album peaked at #24 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in September 1967.

On the original release, the drummer, Don Stevenson is shown “giving the finger on the washboard.
