Gordon Lightfoot

Gordon was a well known musician and songwriter. He achieved international fame with his folk and country music songwriting in the 1960s and 1970s. Some of his most popular hits were:  “Early Morning Rain,” “If You Could Read My Mind,”  “Sundown,” and his most recognized song, “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.”

Gordon died from natural causes at the age of 84 on May 1, 2023, while in hospital care in North York, Toronto.
