Eddie Cochran
Eddie was an early Rockabilly artist probably best known for “Summertime Blues” and “C’mon Everybody”. Eddie died on Apr. 17, 1960 when the taxi carrying him from a show in Bristol, England, crashed on the way to the airport in London, where he was to catch a flight back home to the United States. He was 21 years old.
Danny Flores
He performed under the name Chuck Rio and was the composer of the hit song “Tequila,” for the Champs in 1958. That’s his funky saxophone you hear in “Tequila.” Danny died of Parkinson’s disease on September 19, 2006 at the age of 77.
Sandy West
At the age of 16, Sandy was the drummer and co-founder of the Runaways. Sandy died of lung cancer on October 21, 2006 at the age of 47.
