Chris Cornell

Chris was a singer and songwriter and was best known as the frontman for the rock bands Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave.

Chris died on May 18, 2017 at the MGM Grand Detroit of suspected suicide at the age of 52.

Dee Dee Ramone and Johnny Ramone

Not actually related as all members of the band adopted the same surname, they were founding members of The Ramones a rock band that formed in Forest Hills, Queens, New York in 1974, often cited as the first punk rock group.

Dee Dee Ramone, whose real name was Douglas Glenn Colvin died of a heroin overdose on June 5, 2002 at the age of 50.
Johnny Ramone was born John William Cummings and died from prostate cancer on September 15, 2004 at the age of 55.

Charlie Allen

Charlie was one of the founding members and the vocalist for Pacific Gas & Electric, perhaps best known for their hit “Are You Ready ?” in 1970. Following pressure from the Pacific Gas & Electric utility, the band changed their name in 1971 to PG&E.

Charlie died at the age of 48 on May 7, 1990.

Holly Woodlawn lives on in the lyrics of Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side in which he wrote, “Holly came from Miami, F-L-A, Hitchhiked her way across the USA, Plucked her eyebrows on the way, Shaved her legs and then he was a she, She says, “Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side.”

Holly, born Haroldo Santiago Franceschi Rodriguez Danhak, died on December 6, 2015 of brain and liver cancer at the age of 69.

Peter Bardens

Bardens was a keyboardist and a founding member of Camel. During his career, Peter worked with Rod Stewart, Mick Fleetwood and Van Morrison.

Peter died on January 22, 2002 at the age of 57 of lung cancer.

Kim Fowley

Kim will probably be remembered best for helping create and produce “The Runaways“. He also produced the album “I’m Back and I’m Proud” for Gene Vincent and co-wrote Warren Zevon’s first solo album, “Wanted Dead or Alive“.

Kim died at the age of 75 on January 15, 2015 of bladder cancer.

Bianca Halstead

Bianca was the bassist and lead singer of Betty Blowtorch and Butt Trumpet. Bianca died on December 15, 2001 at the age of 36 when she was killed in a car driven by a drunk driver.

Tomata du Plenty

David Xavier Harrigan, aka Tomata du Plenty, was the singer and founder of The Screamers.

On August 21, 2000, he died of cancer at the age of 52.

Rozz Williams

Born Roger Alan Painter, Rozz was most famous for fronting the bands Christian Death and Shadow Project.

Rozz committed suicide by hanging himself in his West Hollywood apartment on April 1, 1998 at the age of 34.

Derek Frigo

Derek was the former guitarist forEnuff Z’Nuff.

On May 28, 2004, Derek died from an apparent drug overdose at the age of 37.

Luther Rabb

Luther is probably best known as lead vocalist with Carlos Santana in the mid 1970’s and his time as a member of War.

Luther died on January 22, 2006 at the age of 63
