Paul Williams
Paul was an original member of The Temptations, a baritone singer he was also the original choreographer for The Temptations. As the group’s choreographer, he created dance routines for them as well as The Supremes, including their famous “Stop! In the Name of Love” routine.
Paul sang lead on several of the early group’s songs, many of which were also sung by Eddie Kendricks including “I Want a Love I Can See” and the group’s first single, “Oh, Mother of Mine
“.
On August 17, 1973, Paul was found dead in an alley in a car having just left the house of his girlfriend after an argument. His death was ruled a suicide by the coroner. He was 34 years old.
