Bobby Vee

Bobby Vee was a singer and actor that had many hits on the Billboard charts including “Rubber Ball“, “Take Good Care Of My Baby” and “The Night Has A Thousand Eyes“.

Vee got his lucky break after the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson and Richie Valens when he and his group The Shadows filled in for them at a show in Minnesota.

His first single, “Suzie Baby,” was written as an homage to Buddy Holly’s “Peggy Sue“. On March 28, 2011, Bobby was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

Bobby died on October 24, 2016 from the complications of Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 73.
