Garden of Memories

Buried here:

Gram Parsons

Gram recorded as a solo artist and also worked in several bands, including The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers. Gram fell in love with Joshua Tree National Monument and would go there frequently.

Before his 1973 tour, he decided to visit the area again. Less than two days after arriving at the Joshua Tree Inn in Room #8, Parsons was discovered unresponsive in his bedroom. The official cause of death was an overdose of morphine and alcohol.
