Ronnie Lane
In 1965, Ronnie Lane co-founded and played bass for The Small Faces later known as The Faces after some personnel changes. In the late 1970s Ronnie was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and received financial and moral support from Rod Stewart, Pete Townshend and other contemporary artists.
After suffering from the disease for 21 years, Ronnie died on June 4, 1997 at the age of 51. Ronnie was inducted posthumously into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 for his work in both Small Faces and Faces.
