Not a day goes by when I don’t think of Ben.
Benjamin had a beautiful voice and was so good-looking. What a shame that the Lord had to take him so soon. His gravestone says he died Oct. 4 but I understand he died Oct. 3. What’s with that? R.I.P.
It’s my understanding that he passed just before midnight on Oct 3, but was not pronounced dead until a few minutes after 12 AM the 4th.
I was able to visit his final resting place a month ago (4/1/23). It was very meaningful as I remember hearing the Cars on the radio back to the late 70’s (elementary school). When my husband & I drove away from the cemetery after saying goodbye, “Drive” came on the radio. Ben, you are missed.

Benjamin I remember listening to your music and voice on the radio, records, or wherever music was playing. I’ve always enjoyed it from the age of 5 years old. I never knew who you were then or what you looked liked I just knew your voice and music made an imprint on my soul. It wasn’t until I was in my late 40s that I had come to realize who you were and where you came from. It’s unfortunate I never got to see you play live, but your music will live on in me forever. Thank you so much for the memories and my now wisdom behind the music. God Bless your family, you will live on in them forever.
