Dee Dee Ramone, born Douglas Glenn Colvin, and one of the original founding members of The Ramones, died June 5, 2002 in apartment #204 in this apartment building in Hollywood. He died of an accidental heroin overdose, according to the report from the Los Angeles coroner’s office. Police responding to a 911 call on June 5 found a syringe with “possible drug residue” and five balloons with “possible drug contents” in his apartment.
Dee Dee is buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery along with Johnny Ramone.
