Chris Cornell, one of the founders of Soundgarden in 1984, died of an apparent suicide on May 17, 2017 after he played a show with Soundgarden. The group, played the Fox Theatre in Detroit before Cornell was found dead on his bathroom floor at the MGM Grand Detroit hotel a few hours after the show.
Chris also played in Temple of the Dog and Audioslave and he had a solo career as well, he was 52 years old. He is buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, CA.
