The studio, which was designed and is owned by Prince was officially opened on September 11, 1987. There are several studios for recording both sound and film as well as a stage for occasional performances.
On April 21, Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call requesting that an ambulance be sent to Prince’s home at Paisley Park. Emergency responders found Prince unresponsive in an elevator and performed CPR, but a paramedic said he had been dead for about six hours.
The local Medical Examiner’s Office stated that Prince had died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl at the age of 57.
