Born McKinley Morganfield but famously known as Muddy Waters he is often cited as the “father of modern Chicago blues”. Some songs he is best known for include¬†“Hoochie Coochie Man,” “I Just Want to Make Love to You” and “I’m Ready“.

On April 30, 1983, the great Muddy Waters suffered a fatal heart attack at his home in Westmont, IL and later died at the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove at the age of 70.
