If the show had been filmed at the home itself, it would have been extremely difficult, very destructive and they’d have lived somewhere else.
Not true. That would have been cost prohibitive and at the time, if you’re old enough to remember, This was one of the first attempts at a reality show based on a celebrity family. This is well before the Kardashians…. So to secure funding to make a mock up set, etc. of the Osborne home on any studio lot would’ve been too expensive for any network, especially MTV to get behind at the time. It’s also easy to see that this was filmed on site if you just watched the show.
