Phil Spector was a legend in rock & roll, he created the “Wall of Sound” made famous on hit records like “Be My Baby” and “You Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’“. He was also the producer of “Let It Be” by The Beatles.

On the night of Feb 2, 2003, Spector went to a concert at the House of Blues on Sunset, and there he met Lana Clarkson. Lana had starred a string of b-movies such as “Barbarian Queen” and was now working as a hostess at the club.

Spector’s driver drove them back to his mansion early, and said that he later heard gunshots from the house and called the police…. Phil Spector was arrested and later convicted of murder.

His daughter Nicole attributed her father’s death to complications of COVID-19, with which he was diagnosed in December 2020. Spector died in a hospital outside of the prison on January 16 at the age of 81, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
