Dion (born Dion Francis DiMucci on July 18, 1939) grew up here, he is best remembered as the leader of Dion & The Belmonts.

Dion had 39 Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s as either a solo performer or with the Belmonts or the Del Satins. He is best remembered for the singles “Abraham, Martin and John“, “Runaround Sue” and “The Wanderer” among his many other chart toppers.

Dion was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1989.
