Former Location –
A well known apartment/hotel that welcomed show business guests from 1935-1955. Catering to both short-term and long-term guests, the hotel soon gained a reputation as a place where the famous could enjoy living in a quiet  setting that was shielded from tourists and autograph seekers by security patrols.

Many people have said that the hotel was the one referenced in ¬†Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell, but she has disputed this many times.

The hotel was torn down in 1959 and is now a parking lot for a bank.
