Opened in 1927, Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel has seen its fair share of history. The first ever Academy Awards ceremony was held here.
Recently refurbished to its original grandeur featuring torch singers in its Cinegrill nightclub. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and tourist information office is out by the pool here.
A few rockers lived here for a while including: Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson and Prince.
Speaking of Prince, he performed five shows at the Hollywood Roosevelt in 2007, which included dinner with his personal chef, a two-hour performance and a post-set jazz jam.
Even the hotel pool has a story. In 1988, David Hockney painted its bottom with his unmistakable lines, leaving behind a lasting piece of his artistic legacy in Los Angeles.
