Donald Trump, future President of The United States, bought the Hotel Delmonico in 2001 for $115 million and renamed it “The Trump Park Avenue“.
The hotel was the location where The Beatles were staying when Bob Dylan came to visit them on Friday August 28, 1964. The Beatles were at the time in the middle of their first U.S. tour.
This encounter was allegedly where Dylan turned the Fab Four onto Marijuana for the first time.

Re DELMONICO’S HOTEL, was that related to the Beaver St. Delmonico’s restaurant?
I don’t believe so. Used to dine at the Beaver Street one and stayed at the uptown hotel.
What about the posh dinner club below in the hotel? Do I remember correctly that they showcased Killer Joe Piro and his dance troupe there at some time in the 1960’s?
Is the Trump Delmonico still in class act hotel?
