Opened in 1954, the Fontainebleau was once considered the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach. The hotel was the setting for Jerry Lewis’ 1960 comedy film, “The Bellboy” and was featured in the James Bond flick “Goldfinger”.

The Fontainebleau was where Frank Sinatra videotaped a special on March 26, 1960 to welcome back Elvis Presley from his two years of military service in Germany, which was then broadcast on May 12, 1960.

“Fontainebleau” is also the title of a song on side two, track 3 of the album that was written by Neil Young and performed by the Stills-Young Band on their 1976 album “Long May You Run”, which was recorded at the hotel.
