The Womb Arts Complex is the brainchild of Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips. Coyne co-founded the Womb in 2011 with artists Rick Sinnett and Jake Harms. As you can imagine, you can on occasion see some props from some of the Flaming Lips psychedelic stage shows.

The Flaming Lips are an Oklahoma rock band known for their psychedelic performances. Due to their long running relationship with Oklahoma City, the city honored them with a renaming of a downtown alley on December 5, 2006.
