Les Claypool is best known as the lead vocalist and bassist for the band Primus.
Beginning in 2007, Les began making wine for personal use. The business eventually turned into a successful boutique wine business. The winery makes wines from grapes grown in the nearby Russian River Valley.
Their wines have names based on the name of Primus songs like ‘Purple Pachyderm’ and ‘Pink Platypus’. Their early production focused on Pinot Noir and they’ve also developed rosé and even sparkling wines under the label.
