On November 9, 1967 Jann Wenner and his staff rolled out the first issue of Rolling Stone Magazine at the Brannan Street location. The lead article of the first issue was about the Monterey Pop Festival and the cover price was 25ยข.
In 1977, the organization moved its headquarters from San Francisco to New York City because Wenner thought that San Francisco had become “a cultural backwater”.
