The GRAMMY Museum is an exciting and interactive celebration of the power of music occupying a vibrant space in downtown Los Angeles. Four floors of cutting edge exhibits, interactive experiences and films provide a one-of-a-kind visitor experience — engaging, educational, celebratory and inspirational.

What you’ll find on each floor

While the official floor-by-floor map may change (special exhibits rotate), here’s a breakdown of how the space is typically organized:

Fourth Floor

Often serves as a genre and musical-influence exploration zone, with touch-screen displays, interactive “Crossroads” tables, etc. For example, the “Musical Crossroads” exhibit appears here.

Third Floor

Focuses on the evolution of recorded sound, artifacts from key moments in music history (recordings, original equipment, technology).

Includes immersive or audiovisual “sound” rooms.

Second Floor

Houses special rotating exhibits and the museum’s theater: the Clive Davis Theater (200-seat) where artist talks, mini-concerts and screenings happen.

Also includes permanent displays for certain themes.

First Floor / Lobby and Entry

Entrance, ticketing, museum store, café/refreshments may be located here (or just outside).

The bronze discs embedded in sidewalks outside mark major Grammy winners (Record of the Year, Album of the Year, etc).
