Le Dome was co-founded by Elton John in 1977. The “chic French” restaurant was usually packed with Hollywood agents, producers and music-industry names like David Geffen, Danny Elfman and Berry Gordy. The restaurant was completely made over in 2003 but closed for good in 2007.

I was a young Realtor in the Hollywood Hills and a regular at Le Dome. It was the place to see and be seen. The most delicious food and views forever. It is missed today.
Wow, i loved it there. My way of thinking, is that Le Dome would always be open to invite or to share how one enjoy beautiful maybe even famous people there. At least i have my memories.

Hi! Matt , Did you know or remember a regular customer by the name of Bob Lubin ? He always had a table with ladies and liked to party too!
He was murdered in his home in the am just answering his door! I believe he was setup by someone who knew he had money and probably party at his beautiful home in Hollywood Hills!
Please if you know Anything about Bob’s murder do something please! He didn’t deserve this!

First off, I had no idea Elton was one of the co-founders. I ate there many times in ‘86-89. Their Dover Sole was to die for! My fondest memory was seeing OJ in the round booth at the rear of the restaurant (near the lavatories) snorting coke using his elongated pinky as a spoon. Pretty sure I saw him w Kris & Robert Kardashian – and poor Nicole as well

I worked at Le dome for nine years eddie KIRKOFF took in loans to open the restaurant say five thousand from one person so then they spent it at the restaurant bringing friends in and feeding them This is how he paid for the place to open. He would not advertise just let people talk
Both Eddie and his partner Michel were incredible people.
I entertained for Elton John’s 33 birthday in 1980. I wonder if anyone has photos of that event?

I worked in the kitchen at Le Dome around 1979/ 1980 at the pastry station. I was 19 or 20 years old and had a blast there. It was hard work, but a great time. I’m not sure that I truly appreciated where I was, but it’s a great memory.
