Established in 1964 by Frank Casado and named after his wife, Lucy, the cafe quickly became a favorite among locals and celebrities alike
Directly across from the Paramount lot, was this hangout for rock and roll celebrities in the seventies. Linda Ronstadt was a regular at the time, along with her boyfriend, then Governor of California, Jerry Brown.
Other frequent patrons included members of The Eagles, Jackson Browne, and J.D. Souther, all of whom recorded for Elektra/Asylum Records, pretty much anyone that recorded for Elektra/Asylum hung out here.
