Hollywood High School

Hollywood High was established in 1903 as a two room school at the Masonic Temple. As can be seen in the photo above, the school’s mascot was derived from a Rudolph Valentino film of the same name, The Sheik from 1921. 

Hollywood High has been the sight of many memorable concerts, notably Elvis Costello in 1978, the Stone Roses in 1990 and The Byrds in 1966.
