Villanova University
On January 16, 1973 Bruce Springsteen played an incredibly small show at Villanova University, performing for an audience of roughly 25 people. A strike at the campus newspaper The Villanovan meant the concert went completely unadvertised, leaving the room sparsely filled.
It’s widely believed this was the smallest crowd Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band ever played to. This happened just months before Springsteen became famous.
