Don Felder and Bernie Leadon both attended Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Florida. In the 1967 Gainesville High School yearbook, the band that Leadon and Felder where in (Maundy Quintet) is pictured next to another Gainesville High student and his early band, Tom Petty and the Epics.
Both Leadon and Felder went on to be in the Eagles and of course Petty went on to fame and fortune fronting The Heartbreakers.
