Buffalo Springfield On Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour
Since opening in November of 1952, this historic location hosted many great acts. Probably one of the more famous incidents occurred on September 15, 1967 when The Who appeared on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Keith Moon had his drum kit rigged to explode with a bit too much explosives. The ensuing explosion left Pete Townshend with a permanent hearing loss.
On February 17, 1967, Buffalo Springfield taped an appearance for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Buffalo Springfield played For What It’s Worth and Go and Say Goodbye. The show was broadcast on February 26.
