Former Location –
RCA Victor’s Music Center Of The World, also known as RCA Studios, Hollywood and RCA Victor Studios, Hollywood was located between NBC Studios and the Brown Derby and operated here from March 2, 1959 to April 1, 1964. It then moved to 6363 Sunset Blvd. on April 21, 1964 and was operated there until January 1977.
While at this location, the artists that recorded here predated the Rock and Roll years and included then current popular acts such as Freddy Martin, Tommy Dorsey, Spike Jones, Perry Como and Tony Martin. When the location moved in early 1964, other popular artists such as the Rolling Stones and Elvis recorded at the new location.
