Former Location –
Criteria Studios was a recording studio in Miami, Florida, founded in 1958 which went on to become the source of many hit records, especially in the 1970s. Criteria changed hands several times until the Hit Factory took over the studio in the 1999, renaming it Hit Factory Criteria Miami.
James Brown’s classic “I Got You (I Feel Good)” was recorded at Criteria on May 6, 1965, and released in October of 1965 earning the studio the first of over 300 gold records the studio has earned.
