Former Location –

One of the birthplaces of Grunge Music, Reciprocal Studios was originally opened in 1984 and moved to this location in 1986.  The small triangular building was previously the home of Triangle Studios and before that it was the site of a small neighborhood grocery.

The studio was the site of the first Nirvana demo session on January 23, 1988. Nirvana re-entered the studio a few months later to record Bleach which included three of the songs from the demo session.  Five of the demo songs were included on the band’s Insecticide album and two of them were released on With The Lights Out.

Reciprocal closed for good in 1991.
