Built in 1980 and originally called Tres Virgos studios it was designed with excessive attention to detail including a floated control room. Tarpan Studios has been owned and operated by Grammy winning Producer, Songwriter, Musician and Performer Narada Michael Walden who purchased the studio in 1985 and changed the name.
The studio has been called the Motown of Marin, having recorded some of the greatest acts in recent history including over 50 #1 hits!
