Former Location –
Originally located on North La Cienega, Gazzarri’s moved to this location on June 1, 1965.
Bill Gazzarri was known as The Godfather of Rock and Roll mainly due to the fact that he liked dressing up as a Chicago-style gangster when he visited the club. The radio commercials for Gazzarri’s were a staple on L. A. airwaves with for years.
The Doors, The Byrds, Bobby Fuller, Van Halen, The Go-Go’s, Tina Turner, Sonny and Cher, X, Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Poison, Guns N’ Roses and Buffalo Springfield all performed here.
The club closed down in 1993, two years after Bill passed away and was torn down in 1995.

Home, Sweet Home, Battle of the Bands in the 80s brought me to the front doors and in I went. I was truly home. Thank You for the time I had, It made me a real good BASS player, and the chic where hot as well. 10 out of 10. 🙂 Thank You Mr. Bill Gazzarri and friends.
Good old Bill was a ladies man, always had a both at the Rainbow surrounded by beautiful ladies. Always had great bands playing there. Those were the days! The strip was on fire back in the early 80’s. The Bow, Whiskey, and lets not forget the The Central etc… you would go club hopping from one to another.
Envy is not the word.
