Originally built for the 1932 Summer Olympic Games, this venue has seen its share of music history. The music video for Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” was recorded here in 1986. Rage Against the Machine played their final show in September 2000 here before their break-up about a month later.
For a while in the 1960’s , Bill Graham ran it as a Los Angeles version of his Fillmore clubs.
The interior of the auditorium has been used in many movies including scenes from “The Doors“.
