The Ivar Bar was one of Hollywood’s earliest venues to embrace the new sound of rock music. Located just south of Hollywood Boulevard on Ivar Street, the club became a popular destination during the late 1950s and early 1960s when rock and roll was still fighting for acceptance among mainstream audiences.
