Thank you for posting this, nobody believes me.
Wow, I’m quite surprised to see this flyer on your website. I wrote an article about the Runaways for Bomp! magazine and a small part of it was used on the liner notes of the first LP. Kim Fowley and I became pretty good friends, and I emphasize FRIENDS, though I was sixteen and I asked him if the Runaways would play my high school, he asked them and they said YES. The auditorium wasn’t even 1/3 full and pretty much everyone hated them. The flyer you have I made on a mimegraph machine that Greg Shaw of Bomp! loaned to me…
I was at JHFP in 67 and 69. In 67 we were selling candy to help pay for lights for the athletics field. The reward was a concert by the Standells. The Standells canceled and we ended up hearing a fairly new Steppenwolf, holy shit they were already an amazing band.
Lita Ford attended Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, Calif. Most likely, the flyer is referring to their performance at her school and not the Valley as it’s listed on this site.

I was at this show. I remember Lisa Fancher though I’m sure she doesn’t remember me! She didn’t like David Bowie’s “Diamond Dogs” show and liked Roxy Music which I hated at the time. I thought Diamond Dogs was great but I wasn’t blessed with seeing Bowie as Ziggy like she was. I’m one of the people who liked the Runaways show at Poly High. Whether the flyer is for Long Beach or Sun Valley it doesn’t matter. They played Poly High school in Sun Valley in1976 for fifty cents! I’m a witness. Such a deal! And by the way, thank you very much Lisa Fancher.
PS. Also thank you for “Only Theatre Of Pain”.
