American Music Show Poster“The American Music Show” was held here on September 15, 1968 and featured a large amount of top acts including Joan Baez, Big Brother, The Byrds, Country Joe, The Mothers of Invention and Wilson Pickett.

In June 1988, Depeche Mode played a famous concert here, Thomas Dolby, and OMD also performed. 1982 saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers perform at the anti-nuclear concert “Peace Sunday: We Had A Dream“.

In 1994, The Rolling Stones played here.

In 2005, the Playboy Jazz Festival moved to the Rose Bowl, the three day affair, which has grown to attract over 100,000 people annually, will continue to be part of the “Old Pasadena Summer Fest,” which also includes five other family entertainment events.
