Former location –
The Brass Ring opened as a progressive jazz club. In the late 1960’s. They shifted to rock and pop bookings during the late 1960s and early 1970s and began hosting touring rock/lifestyle acts, becoming part of the vibrant LA music scene of that era.

The club closed in 1973 and a number of other clubs occupied this location. The location is now a senior living village replacing the original club structure.

The Brass Ring was open for business through the winter of 1974-75. It was owned by Tony Ferra. Troy Walker was booked there as a house band in the fall of ‘74. I tended bar there until Jan. 1975.
Was there a Fire there in the 70’s?
I remember skateboarding in A Empty Pool there, back in the mid 70’s after there was a fire.
