Former Location –
This site, which first opened in 1974, had been up and down constantly since its inception. Many bands have played here and just as many videos have been shot here.
A Chuck Berry concert recorded for a local radio station was broadcast from here on January 17th, 1981. In June of 1982 The Tubes played a memorable concert here.

On March 25, 1983 The Dinosaurs, a San Francisco Bay Area super group played here after playing at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach the previous night. The band consisted of Peter Albin of Big Brother and the Holding Company, John Cipollina of Quicksilver Messenger Service, Papa John Creach of Hot Tuna, Spencer Dryden of Jefferson Airplane, Robert Hunter of the Grateful Dead, Barry Melton of Country Joe and The Fish and keyboardist Merl Saunders from the Saunders-Garcia Band.

Many of the nightclub scenes from the film “Boogie Nights” were filmed here as well. The site closed in 2000 and is now home to a Christian Church.

I saw that Dinosaurs show and have the ticket for it. here was like 30 people there. The Grateful Dead played the next night or 2 later at Irvine for the first time.
